ed2b8d3476 GCS_MAVLink: refactor send_autopilot_verison() to use AP_FWVersion 
Make the method use the getter directly to get a reference of
AP_FWVersion and work out everything that needs to be sent. This allows
us to remove ifdefs and replace with runtime if/else.

Note that there's also a bug fix: we were not setting flight_custom_version
to zero in case GIT_VERSION wasn't defined.

58dec08b29 GCS_MAVLink: fix non static perf counter 
Commit b9877e0d38
(GCS_MAVLink: make per channel perf counter non-static) made the
perf counters to be available per instance but missed the fact that
the perf infra doesn't copy the string.

Fix this by maintaining a the string inside the object.

921985fe27 GCS_MAVLink: allow statustext logging from any source system 
Turns out this is terribly useful for companion computers if
you allow them to log things when they're not your GCS.

The original check was bogus; if someone is talking to you via
mavlink they can do much worse than fill your logs!

ae53920e5b build: don't build examples with old build system 
We currently check examples are buildable with waf which doesn't need

forward until its referring to a nav target, which means that if a DO_ command was

fea084a596 Global: use ap_version.h 
This header is used by waf to contain the generated version macros,
particularly using the git hash. For waf it's better to be in a separate
header since it then can keep track of changes on it a trigger
recompilation.

For the make build system, a dummy ap_version.h file has been added in
the missing/ folder so both implementations can co-exist.

when a GCS sends a command to a system ID that isn't our system ID,
the GCS may use a non-advertised component ID such as
MAV_COMP_ID_SYSTEM_CONTROL. Those packets should be fowarded to the
target system even though the target system has not specifically
advertised that target sysid/compid tuple.

5244559010 Minimize AP_Progmem.h includes 
Most of AP_Progmem is already gone so we can stop including it in most
of the places. The only places that need it are the ones using
pgm_read_*() APIs.

In some cases the header needed to be added in the .cpp since it was
removed from the .h to reduce scope. In those cases the headers were
also reordered.

831d8acca5 Remove use of PROGMEM 
Now variables don't have to be declared with PROGMEM anymore, so remove
them. This was automated with:

    git grep -l -z PROGMEM | xargs -0 sed -i 's/ PROGMEM / /g'
    git grep -l -z PROGMEM | xargs -0 sed -i 's/PROGMEM//g'

The 2 commands were done so we don't leave behind spurious spaces.

2c38e31c93 Remove use of PSTR 
The PSTR is already define as a NOP for all supported platforms. It's
only needed for AVR so here we remove all the uses throughout the
codebase.

This was automated with a simple python script so it also converts
places which spans to multiple lines, removing the matching parentheses.

ec52df991c build: compile only the HAL files needed by the board 
Instead of requiring every program to specify the HAL related modules,
let the build system do it (in practice everything we compiled depended
on HAL anyway). This allow including only the necessary files in the

2e464a53c2 AP_HAL: make code not depend on concrete HAL implementations 
The switching between different AP_HAL was happening by giving different
definitions of AP_HAL_BOARD_DRIVER, and the programs would use it to
instantiate.

A program or library code would have to explicitly include (and depend)
on the concrete implementation of the HAL, even when using it only via
interface.

The proposed change move this dependency to be link time. There is a
AP_HAL::get_HAL() function that is used by the client code. Each
implementation of HAL provides its own definition of this function,
returning the appropriate concrete instance.

Since this replaces the job of AP_HAL_BOARD_DRIVER, the definition was
removed.

The static variables for PX4 and VRBRAIN were named differently to avoid
shadowing the extern symbol 'hal'.

d7a2ef3e35 GCS_MAVLink: standardize inclusion of libaries headers 
This commit changes the way libraries headers are included in source files:

 - If the header is in the same directory the source belongs to, so the
 notation '#include ""' is used with the path relative to the directory
 containing the source.

 - If the header is outside the directory containing the source, then we use
 the notation '#include <>' with the path relative to libraries folder.

Some of the advantages of such approach:

 - Only one search path for libraries headers.

 - OSs like Windows may have a better lookup time.

9352f05133 GCS_MAVLink: fixed bug setting parameters to default values 
in copter if you try to set RATE_RLL_D to 0 when you haven't
prevviously changed it then it would set it, but would revert on the
next reboot. This is because of the special case handling of a set to
the "default" value. That default value is unaware of the PID
constructors

this fixes that behaviour by forcing a save if the parameter changes
value

048767e389 GCS_MAVLink: camera feedback mavlink messages 
CAMERA_EVENT and CAMERA_FEEDBACK messages, and a couple of enums they
use (CAMERA_EVENT_TYPES and CAMERA_FEEDBACK_FLAGS)

Adjusted some types and added more explicit descriptions of units as
suggested on the call last week.

I will add camera parameter list/get/set functionality as suggested
using the existing parameter mechanism and component IDs rather than
the new CAMERA_INFO messages I had proposed.
