Don't pass complex expressions but regular variables to Python
macros.
* _datetimemodule.c: split single large "if" into two "if"

Fixes assertion failures in _datetimemodule.c
introduced in the previous fix (see bpo-31752).
Rather of trying to handle an int subclass as exact int,
let it to use overridden special methods, but check the
result of divmod().
locale.localeconv() now sets temporarily the LC_CTYPE locale to the
LC_MONETARY locale if the two locales are different and monetary
strings are non-ASCII. This temporary change affects other threads.
Changes:
* locale.localeconv() can now set LC_CTYPE to LC_MONETARY to decode
monetary fields.
* Add LocaleInfo.grouping_buffer: copy localeconv() grouping string
since it can be replaced anytime if a different thread calls
localeconv().

If tracemalloc is not tracing Python memory allocations,
_PyMem_DumpTraceback() now suggests to enable tracemalloc
to get the traceback where the memory block has been allocated.
Datetime macros like PyDate_Check() have two implementations, one using
the C API capsule and one using direct access to the datetime type
symbols defined in _datetimemodule.c. Since the direct access versions
of the macros are only used in _datetimemodule.c, they have been moved
out of "datetime.h" and into _datetimemodule.c.
The _PY_DATETIME_IMPL macro is currently necessary in order to avoid
both duplicate definitions of these macros in _datetimemodule.c and
unnecessary declarations of C API capsule-related macros and varibles in
datetime.h.

Adds configure flags for msan and ubsan builds to make it easier to enable.
These also encode the detail that address sanitizer and memory sanitizer
should disable pymalloc.
Define MEMORY_SANITIZER when appropriate at build time and adds workarounds
to existing code to mark things as initialized where the sanitizer is otherwise unable to
determine that. This lets our build succeed under the memory sanitizer. not all tests
pass without sanitizer failures yet but we're in pretty good shape after this.

Two kind of mistakes:
1. Missed space. After concatenating there is no space between words.
2. Missed comma. Causes unintentional concatenating in a list of strings.
Some methods in the os module can accept path-like objects. This is documented in the general documentation but not in the function docstrings. To keep both in sync, the docstrings need to be updated to reflect that path-like objects are also accepted.
This implements getstate and setstate for the cjkcodecs multibyte incremental encoders/decoders, primarily to fix issues with seek/tell.
The encoder getstate/setstate is slightly tricky as the "state" is pending bytes + MultibyteCodec_State but only an integer can be returned. The approach I've taken is to encode this data into a long, similar to how .tell() encodes a "cookie_type" as a long.

declared without inline which cause linker error on Visual Studio in

_PyTraceMalloc_NewReference() is now called by _Py_NewReference(), so
move its definition to object.h. Moreover, define it even if
Py_LIMITED_API is defined, since _Py_NewReference() is also exposed
even if Py_LIMITED_API is defined.

I suggested to use %R in the error message because including the raw
string can be confusing in the case of empty string, or string
containing trailing whitespaces, invisible or unprintable characters.
We agree that it is better to change both the C and pure Python versions
to use repr.

path_error() uses GetLastError() on Windows, but some os functions
are implemented via CRT APIs which report errors via errno.
This may result in raising OSError with invalid error code (such
as zero).
Introduce posix_path_error() function and use it where appropriate.
If buffering=1 is specified for open() in binary mode, it is silently
treated as buffering=-1 (i.e., the default buffer size).
Coupled with the fact that line buffering is always supported in Python 2,
such behavior caused several issues (e.g., bpo-10344, bpo-21332).
Warn that line buffering is not supported if open() is called with
binary mode and buffering=1.
It is now guarantied that children of xml.etree.ElementTree.Element
are Elements (at least in C implementation). Previously methods
__setitem__(), __setstate__() and __deepcopy__() could be used for
adding non-Element children.
Restores the use of pyexpatns.h to isolate our embedded copy of the expat C
library so that its symbols do not conflict at link or dynamic loading time
with an embedding application or other extension modules with their own
version of libexpat.
5dc3f23b5f (diff-3afaf7274c90ce1b7405f75ad825f545) inadvertently removed it when upgrading expat.

The C implementation of asyncio.Task currently fails to perform the
cancellation cleanup correctly in the following scenario.

The actuall error is a hardcoded call to `future_cancel()` instead of
calling the `cancel()` method of a future-like object.

OpenSSL follows the convention that whenever you call a function, it
returns an error indicator value; and if this value is negative, then
you need to go look at the actual error code to see what happened.
Commit c6fd1c1c3a introduced a small mistake in
_ssl__SSLSocket_shutdown_impl: instead of checking whether the error
indicator was negative, it started checking whether the actual error
code was negative, and it turns out that the error codes are never
negative. So the effect was that 'unwrap()' lost the ability to raise
SSL errors.

Such functions as os.path.exists(), os.path.lexists(), os.path.isdir(),
os.path.isfile(), os.path.islink(), and os.path.ismount() now return False
instead of raising ValueError or its subclasses UnicodeEncodeError
and UnicodeDecodeError for paths that contain characters or bytes
unrepresentative at the OS level.
Py_Initialize() and Py_Main() cannot enable the C locale coercion
(PEP 538) anymore: it is always disabled. It can now only be enabled
by the Python program ("python3).
test_embed: get_filesystem_encoding() doesn't have to set PYTHONUTF8
nor PYTHONCOERCECLOCALE, these variables are already set in the
parent.

When os.fork() is called (on platforms that support it) all threads but the current one are destroyed in the child process. Consequently we must ensure that all but the associated interpreter are likewise destroyed. Although the kernel accepts any negative value for timeout, the
documented value to block indefinitely is -1.
This commit also makes the code similar to select.poll.poll().
When subprocess.Popen() stdin= stdout= or stderr= handles are specified
and appear in pass_fds=, don't close the original fds after dup'ing them.

as inheritable flags and _close_open_fds takes care of that properly today without special treatment.
This code is within child_exec() where it is the only thread so there is no
race condition between the dup and _Py_set_inheritable_async_safe call.
Release GIL on grp.getgrnam(), grp.getgrgid(), pwd.getpwnam() and
pwd.getpwuid() if reentrant variants of these functions are available.

initialize properly locales.

The *max* value is no longer treated as a special case in the main loop. Besides making the main loop simpler and branchless, this also lets us relax the input restriction of *vec* to contain only non-negative values.
Use the core configuration of the interpreter, rather
than using global configuration variables. For example, replace
Py_QuietFlag with core_config->quiet.
Add support for the "surrogatepass" error handler in
PyUnicode_DecodeFSDefault() and PyUnicode_EncodeFSDefault()
for the UTF-8 encoding.

_PyCoreConfig.filesystem_encoding is now the reference, instead of
Py_FileSystemDefaultEncoding, for the Python filesystem encoding.

On Windows, the LC_CTYPE is now set to the user preferred locale at

Python initialization. Previously, the LC_CTYPE locale was "C" at
startup, but changed when calling setlocale(LC_CTYPE, "") or
setlocale(LC_ALL, "").
pymain_read_conf() now also calls _Py_SetLocaleFromEnv(LC_CTYPE) to
behave as _Py_InitializeCore(). Moreover, it doesn't save/restore the
LC_ALL anymore.
On Windows, standard streams like sys.stdout now always use
surrogateescape error handler by default (ignore the locale).
* _Py_InitializeCore() now sets the LC_CTYPE locale to the user
preferred locale before checking if the C locale should be coerced
or not in _PyCoreConfig_Read().
* Fix pymain_read_conf(): remember if the C locale has been coerced
when the configuration should be read again if the encoding has
changed.
Python now gets the locale encoding with C code to initialize the encoding
of standard streams like sys.stdout. Moreover, the encoding is now
initialized to the Python codec name to get a normalized encoding name and
to ensure that the codec is loaded. The change avoids importing
_bootlocale and _locale modules at startup by default.
When the PYTHONIOENCODING environment variable only contains an encoding,
the error handler is now is now set explicitly to "strict".
Rename also get_default_standard_stream_error_handler() to
get_stdio_errors().
Reduce the buffer to format the "cpXXX" string (Windows locale encoding).
The current C implementations **crash** if the input includes a surrogate
Unicode code point, which is not possible to encode in UTF-8.
Important notes:
1. It is possible to pass a non-UTF-8 string as a separator to the
`.isoformat()` methods.
2. The pure-Python `datetime.fromisoformat()` implementation accepts
strings with a surrogate as the separator.
In `datetime.fromisoformat()`, in the special case of non-UTF-8 separators,
this implementation will take a performance hit by making a copy of the
input string and replacing the separator with 'T'.

Introduce a configure check for strsignal(3) which defines HAVE_STRSIGNAL for
signalmodule.c. Add some common signals on HP-UX. This change applies for
Windows and HP-UX.
bpo-34170, bpo-34207: pymain_read_conf() now sets Py_UTF8Mode to
config->utf8_mode. pymain_read_conf() calls indirectly
Py_DecodeLocale() and Py_EncodeLocale() which depend on Py_UTF8Mode.
os.readlink() now accepts path-like and bytes objects on Windows.
Previously, support for path-like and bytes objects was only
implemented on Unix.
This commit also merges Unix and Windows implementations of
os.readlink() in one function and adds basic unit tests to increase
test coverage of the function.
bpo-34170, bpo-34326: Fix pymain_run_file(): use
PyRun_AnyFileExFlags(closeit=1) instead of calling fclose(fp)

* help(hashlib) didn't work because of incorrect module name in blake2b and
blake2s classes.
* Constructors blake2*(), sha3_*(), shake_*() and keccak_*() incorrectly
accepted keyword argument "string" for binary data, but documented as
accepting the "data" keyword argument. Now this parameter is positional-only.
* Keyword-only parameters in blake2b() and blake2s() were not documented as
keyword-only.
* Default value for some parameters of blake2b() and blake2s() was None,
which is not acceptable value.
* The length argument for shake_*.digest() was wrapped out to 32 bits.
* The argument for shake_128.digest() and shake_128.hexdigest() was not
positional-only as intended.
* TypeError messages for incorrect arguments in all constructors sha3_*(),

This list is never used: if detect_types is on, this list will be

On Windows, passing a negative value to local results in an OSError because localtime_s on Windows does not support negative timestamps. Unfortunately this means that fold detection for timestamps between 0 and max_fold_seconds will result in this OSError since we subtract max_fold_seconds from the timestamp to detect a fold. However, since we know there haven't been any folds in the interval [0, max_fold_seconds) in any timezone, we can hackily just forego fold detection for this time range on Windows.
* If _Py_InitializeCore() is called twice, the second call now copies

bpo-32430: Rename Modules/Setup.dist to Modules/Setup
Remove the necessity to copy the former manually to the latter when updating the local source tree.
They can be exposed when some C API calls fail due to lack of
memory.
* Failed Py_BuildValue() could cause an assertion error in the
following TextIOWrapper.tell().
* input_chunk could be decrefed twice in TextIOWrapper.seek()

In some development setups it is inconvenient or impossible to write bytecode
caches to the code tree, but the bytecode caches are still useful. The
PYTHONPYCACHEPREFIX environment variable allows specifying an alternate
location for cached bytecode files, within which a directory tree mirroring the code
tree will be created. This cache tree is then used (for both reading and writing)
instead of the local `__pycache__` subdirectory within each source directory.
Exposed at runtime as sys.pycache_prefix (defaulting to None), and can
be set from the CLI as "-X pycache_prefix=path".

Fix "LC_ALL=C python3.7 -V": reset properly the command line parser

Hangul composition check boundaries are wrong for the second character

...as an extra safety measure: in case src/dst are "exotic" files (non
regular or living on a network fs etc.) we better fail on open() instead
of copyfile(3) as we're not quite sure what's gonna happen in that
case.

The documentation for CERT_NONE, CERT_OPTIONAL, and CERT_REQUIRED were
misleading and partly wrong. It fails to explain that OpenSSL behaves
differently in client and server mode. Also OpenSSL does validate the
cert chain everytime. With SSL_VERIFY_NONE a validation error is not
fatal in client mode and does not request a client cert in server mode.
Also discourage people from using CERT_OPTIONAL in client mode.
A datetime object d is aware if d.tzinfo is not None and
d.tzinfo.utcoffset(d) does not return None. If d.tzinfo is None,
or if d.tzinfo is not None but d.tzinfo.utcoffset(d) returns None,
d is naive.
This commit ensures that instances with non-None d.tzinfo, but
d.tzinfo.utcoffset(d) returning None are treated as naive.
In addition, C acceleration code will raise TypeError if
d.tzinfo.utcoffset(d) returns an object with the type other than
timedelta.

This call became unneeded after the posix module was converted to the
Argument Clinic in 2f93635d34 and should
have been removed as part of that change.
Move the floor() call into fbound() to call floor() on a double
rather than an int. The change should enhance the rounding.
Document also (int)double rounding mode.
For bpo-32604 I added extra subinterpreter-related tests (see #6914), which caused a few buildbots to crash. This patch fixes the crash by ensuring that refcounts in channels are handled properly.
Fix a crash in Python initialization when parsing the command line
options.
Fix memcpy() size parameter: previously, we read one wchar_t after
the end of _PyOS_optarg. Moreover, don't copy the trailingg NUL
character: we write it manually anyway.

* repr() was called for a borrowed link in enter_task() and task_step_impl().
* str() was used instead of repr() in formatting one error message (in
Python implementation too).

The ssl module now contains OP_NO_RENEGOTIATION constant, available with
OpenSSL 1.1.0h or 1.1.1.
Note, OpenSSL 1.1.0h hasn't been released yet.

Use the _PyTime_t type and round away from zero (ROUND_UP,
_PyTime_ROUND_TIMEOUT) the sleep duration, when converting a Python
object to seconds and then to milliseconds. Raise an OverflowError in
case of overflow.
Previously the (int)double conversion rounded towards zero
(ROUND_DOWN).
METH_NOARGS functions need only a single argument but they are cast
into a PyCFunction, which takes two arguments. This triggers an
invalid function cast warning in gcc8 due to the argument mismatch.
Fix this by adding a dummy unused argument.
Starting with glibc 2.27.9000-xxx, sigaddset() can return EINVAL for some
reserved signal numbers between 1 and NSIG. The `range(1, NSIG)` idiom
is commonly used to select all signals for blocking with `pthread_sigmask`.
So we ignore the sigaddset() return value until we expose sigfillset()
to provide a better idiom.
Setup modules are no longer built with -DPy_BUILD_CORE by default,
as using that flag may now require including additional internal-only header files.
Instead, only the modules that specifically need it use that setting.
This makes performance better and produces shorter pickles. This change is backwards compatible up to the oldest currently supported version of Python (3.4).
