Marc-André Lemburg	8f36af7a4c	Normalize the encoding names for Latin-1 and UTF-8 to 'latin-1' and 'utf-8'. These are optimized in the Python Unicode implementation to result in more direct processing, bypassing the codec registry. Also see issue11303.	2011-02-25 15:42:01 +00:00
Guido van Rossum	29fd7120e4	Minimal change that disables (AFAICT) the interpolation of \u and \U inside raw string literals. I added a whole bunch of tests but am still not sure I am testing all paths through the code. I really think the code could be simplified quite a bit.	2007-11-12 01:13:56 +00:00
