Andrew M. Kuchling 6d72b0e1f8 Clarify docstring 2006-10-27 17:06:16 +00:00
Armin Rigo a3f092751a ("Forward-port" of r46506)
Remove various dependencies on dictionary order in the standard library
tests, and one (clearly an oversight, potentially critical) in the
standard library itself - base64.py.

Remaining open issues:
 * test_extcall is an output test, messy to make robust
 * tarfile.py has a potential bug here, but I'm not familiar
enough with this code. Filed in as SF bug #1496501.
 * urllib2.HTTPPasswordMgr() returns a random result if there is more
than one matching root path. I'm asking python-dev for
   clarification...

Guido van Rossum 54e54c6877 The first batch of changes recommended by the fixdiv tool. These are
mostly changes of / operators into //. Once or twice I did more or
less than recommended.

Skip Montanaro e99d5ea25b added __all__ lists to a number of Python modules
added test script and expected output file as well
this closes patch 103297.
__all__ attributes will be added to other modules without first submitting
a patch, just adding the necessary line to the test script to verify
more-or-less correct implementation.

Jeremy Hylton 0365180a74 a couple of nits from Patch #100933 2000-07-25 14:34:38 +00:00
Guido van Rossum 4acc25bd39 Mass patch by Ka-Ping Yee:
1. Comments at the beginning of the module, before
functions, and before classes have been turned
       into docstrings.

    2. Tabs are normalized to four spaces.

Also, removed the "remove" function from dircmp.py, which reimplements
list.remove() (it must have been very old).
