+In Python 3.6, flags like re.DOTALL became members of an enum.IntFlag so
+usages like ``getattr(re, 'DOTALL')`` are invalid.
+
+Also, remove the ``LOCALE`` option since it doesn't work with string
+patterns in Python 3.
