Guido van Rossum 97c1adf393 Anti-registration of various ABC methods.
- Issue #25958: Support "anti-registration" of special methods from
various ABCs, like __hash__, __iter__ or __len__. All these (and
several more) can be set to None in an implementation class and the
behavior will be as if the method is not defined at all.
(Previously, this mechanism existed only for __hash__, to make
mutable classes unhashable.) Code contributed by Andrew Barnert and
  Ivan Levkivskyi.

Zachary Ware 38c707e7e0 Issue #21741: Update 147 test modules to use test discovery.
I have compared output between pre- and post-patch runs of these tests
to make sure there's nothing missing and nothing broken, on both
Windows and Linux. The only differences I found were actually tests
that were previously *not* run.

So long xrange. range() now supports values that are outside

Tim Peters de9725f135 Make 'x in y' and 'x not in y' (PySequence_Contains) play nice w/ iterators.
NEEDS DOC CHANGES
A few more AttributeErrors turned into TypeErrors, but in test_contains
this time.
The full story for instance objects is pretty much unexplainable, because
instance_contains() tries its own flavor of iteration-based containment
testing first, and PySequence_Contains doesn't get a chance at it unless
instance_contains() blows up. A consequence is that
    some_complex_number in some_instance
dies with a TypeError unless some_instance.__class__ defines __iter__ but
does not define __getitem__.
