Martin Panter 6bb91f3b6e Issue #20699: Document that “io” methods accept bytes-like objects
This matches the usage of ZipFile and BufferedWriter. This still requires
return values to be bytes() objects.

Also document and test that the write() methods should only access their
argument before they return.

These added a path attribute to pathlib.Path objects, and docs.
Instead, we're going to use PEP 519.

Martin Panter e6f060903c Issue #17214: Percent-encode non-ASCII bytes in redirect targets
Some servers send Location header fields with non-ASCII bytes, but "http.
client" requires the request target to be ASCII-encodable, otherwise a
UnicodeEncodeError is raised. Based on patch by Christian Heimes.

Python 2 does not suffer any problem because it allows non-ASCII bytes in the
HTTP request target.

Berker Peksag 6d34bbbfc7 Issue #25551: Test condition behavior instead of its internals
test_reset_internal_locks was looking at Event's _cond._lock. This
makes it harder to change internals of the Condition object and
makes the test fragile.
