From 12087bae18ac349338fab42a42e28e941de23477 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Tim Peters Date: Mon, 15 May 2006 20:44:10 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] ReadDetectFileobjTest: repair Windows disasters by opening the file object in binary mode. The Windows buildbot slaves shouldn't swap themselves to death anymore. However, test_tarfile may still fail because of a temp directory left behind from a previous failing run. Windows buildbot owners may need to remove that directory by hand. --- Lib/test/test_tarfile.py | 3 ++- 1 file changed, 2 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/Lib/test/test_tarfile.py b/Lib/test/test_tarfile.py index cd58c9a4594..0f3df7fa063 100644 --- a/Lib/test/test_tarfile.py +++ b/Lib/test/test_tarfile.py @@ -221,7 +221,8 @@ class ReadDetectFileobjTest(ReadTest): def setUp(self): name = tarname(self.comp) - self.tar = tarfile.open(name, mode=self.mode, fileobj=file(name)) + self.tar = tarfile.open(name, mode=self.mode, + fileobj=open(name, "rb")) class ReadAsteriskTest(ReadTest):
